We listened to Nancy Sinatra, the sky was lavender, and we were eating that fancy cheese I kept hearing about. We didn’t have to be at the drive-in for another half hour. There was no time to get invested in a TV show, so we sat instead, watching the trees move. Does a scene only feel cinematic when given proper attention? Does it feel cinematic even when no one stops to bask in it?
