The eighties are always making a comeback and the sound of indie rock band Boy Romeo is no exception. The band just released “Public” a twangy, synthy, catchy single off of their new EP Shorts.

The open, summery track is a head-bobber, which is a good indicator for the rest of the EP. Shorts drops tomorrow, Friday, July 27th and is being celebrated in proper style at the Cafe Colonial (3520 Stockton Blvd, California 95820) where the band will play a show with Seatle band WIMPS, as well as Woolen Men, and Mediocre Cafe. The show starts at 8 pm and tickets are $10. More info here. The 12″ version of the EP will available for sale from Mt St Mtn Records at the show and can be pre-ordered here.
