A large, enthusiastic crowd of music-lovers of all ages gathered at Bonney Field at Cal Expo for the second City of Trees festival, hosted by Radio 94.7.

The daylong music festival on Sept. 10 featured a Sacramento tent where people could hear local bands like The Color Wild, Arden Park Roots and Pacific Skyway, as well as Music Discovery Stage with The Rebel Light, Kungs’ DJ set (which got festival-goers movin’), The Struts and more.

Like last year’s inaugural festival, this year’s City of Trees had major acts that attracted large crowds of fans. But the festival this year moved to Cal Expo from Gibson Ranch after complaints last year about traffic at that venue.

This year’s major acts were The Unlikely Candidates, Andrew McMahon In the Wilderness, Phantogram, Weezer and the festival closer Panic! At the Disco. Weezer played some of the oldies for us 90s kids to swoon over and Panic! At the Disco’s had the crowd singing along to a cover of Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody.’ What more could you ask for in a music fest?
