Northern California Ladyfest Campout at Nugget Campground

This year’s Ladyfest lineup has been announced, and the members of the community are celebrating accordingly with nothing other than a camping trip! From June 3 to June 5, Nugget Campground (Placerville, CA) will be hosting the 2016 Ladyfest Campout! There will be enlightenment classes, live music, various workshops, and more. Have a grand time preparing for Ladyfest in the great outdoors! Find more information here

 

Opening Reception for “having happened” at Verge Center for the Arts

On Friday, June 3, from 5 PM to 8 PM, Verge Center for the Arts (625 S Street) is hosting their first showing of the “having happened” exhibition! This exhibition features the culminating projects of current UC Davis Master of Fine Arts (MFA) candidates. Find information here

 

Sign of Life at the Jill Solberg Theatre

IMG_3386On June 3 and 4 at 7:30 PM, the Jill Solberg Theatre (1655 Iron Point Road, Folsom) is hosting an exhibition presented by Sacramento Contemporary Dance Company, Sign of Life. These dancers are working with the hard of hearing and deaf community to learn sign language in order to perform this piece, and the results should be breathtaking. All proceeds will benefit the hard of hearing and deaf community. Find more here. 

 

Aliens on 35 mm at The Crest Theatre

The Crest Theatre (1013 K Street) have always been lovers of vintage, and they never fail to provide for their fellow film buffs. On June 4, from 7:30 PM to 10 PM, they will be showing Aliens (1986), directed by James Cameron. This film will be shown on its original format, 35 mm film. Buy tickets and find more here

Sacramento Pride 2016 at Capitol Mall

It’s that time again; happy Pride Month! Celebrate your support or pride at this year’s Sacramento Pride, at Capitol Mall (Between 3rd and 9th Street, Sac, CA), on June 4, starting at 11 AM. There will be tons of informational booths, fun activities, and food vendors to sample and choose from. Tickets are available now for purchase. Find info here
