If you thought American experimental bands were the coolest, you have clearly never seen these Mexican experimental bands before. On Saturday, May 28, starting at 6 PM, Phono Select Records (4370 19th Street) is hosting a show featuring Rodo, Blister Brats, Rancho Shampoo, and Mother Blood! Rodo, Rancho Shampoo, and Mother Blood have all travelled a long way from Mexico, so come support them as well as Sacramento acid-rockers Blister Brats! $5 cover. Find info here.

KDVS Presents: Operation Restore Maximum Freedom XVI at Sudwerks Brewery

As if KDVS couldn’t get any cooler, they brought in some killer bands. On Saturday, May 28, from 1 PM to 10 PM, Sudwerks Brewery (2001 2nd St, Davis, CA) is hosting their annual Operation Restore Maximum Freedom, presented by KDVS Radio. This fest will feature big time Burger bands like Froth and out of town Oakland sweethearts like Mall Walk, as well as local favorites such as Screature and Charles Albright. Brunch and Beats at Sol Collective

Brunch and Beats has returned to Sol Collective (2574 21st St), and this time, they’re doubling up with a huge art sale! On Saturday, May 28, Brunch and Beats will be going on from 1-4 PM at Sol Collective. There will be food, tons of art for sale, and awesome music! Mediterranean Food Festival at St. Stephen Orthodox Church

Mmm, gyros. On May 28 and 29, from 11 AM to 7 PM, the Mediterranean Food Festival is being held at St. Stephen Orthodox Church (11055 Hirschfeld Way, Rancho Cordova, CA)!
