This Saturday, April 2, The Hideaway Bar & Grill will be hosting an all-ages matinee show featuring three of Sacramento’s emerging female-fronted garage-punk bands.

Sneeze Attack will be releasing their long awaited LP “Maxwell” on Pleasant Screams. The band recorded and mixed with Chris Woodhouse at The Dock in one day and the finished product truly captures the raw sound of the band in a live setting. Founding members Dino and Hans will be joined by Lucy Giles of Dog Party on drums and Andrew Diamond Henderson of Blhans and G. Green on guitar for a string of upcoming release shows. Destroy Boys is already making an impact on the local music scene. Nearing the six-month mark as a duo with Vi Mayugba on acoustic guitar and Alexia Roditis providing vocals, the teens recently added longtime friend Ethan Knight on drums to complete the band. They have made the decision to go full electric and are currently working on their first EP.

Dog Party has come a long way since the band first formed in 2007. The duo, sisters Gwendolyn and Lucy Giles, recently celebrated their appearance in the film “Punk’s Dead: SLC Punk 2” with a screening at the Tower Theatre. The sisters just finished recording their fifth studio album, also at The Dock with Chris Woodhouse. Their latest album, “Vol. 4” is currently available on vinyl from Asian Man Records and cassette from Burger Records, and can be purchased at Phono Select Records and other independent record stores.

Show starts at 5 p.m. with a $5 cover. Visit the Facebook event page for more info.
