Join filmmakers and fashionistas for Fashion on Film at BEATNIK Studios (723 S Street) February 24 at 7:30.  Live fashion showcases, food, vendors and films will be found throughout the night with a focus on David Bowies inspiration on the industry. 10 bucks to get in, 15 for VIP. Our pals over at ZFG are looking for drunk poets!  Head over to Pour House (1910 Q Street) Thursday night (February 25) at 8PM, with a writing utensil and your mad rhyming skills to battle with creative colleagues by writing poems on cocktail napkins.  Get ready for a Dirty Haiku Battle, the “Cards Against Poetry” slam and a Gangster Rap Poetry Recital.  Bonus news!  There will be prizes!  Learn more here.

Art Haus; a creative endeavor between Born and Dazed and Face of Radio, is hosting one hell of an ALL AGES show at Cafe Colonial (3520 Stockton Blvd) this Friday, February 26.  Make sure to keep an ear out for Flourish, her strong yet surreal voice is something we are definitely looking forward to seeing live.  More information about the show here.

We are constantly telling you to listen to or to go see Male Gaze, so now lets talk about Mall Walk. Good lord, we are in love.  They land somewhere between rock n’ roll and a dream.  Do yourself a favor and go to this show.  Its at the Hideaway(2565 Franklin Blvd) and starts at 9PM. A few of our very favorite local artists are participating in an installation inspired by pattern, linework and connection.  Keep and eye out for Julia Kropinova, Autumn Brown and Tess Gallagher because they are amazing!  This FREE show is at Outlet Coworking (2110 K Street) on Saturday, February 27, starts at 7PM.
