Separate Spines is making the rounds. The Sacramento band plays an eclectic mixture of shoegaze and psychedelia they call ‘throat kick.’ Formed in 2014, Separate Spines has created over 50 demos and played numerous house parties over the years, honing their craft. Their sound brings to mind acts like Ty Segall and Meatbodies, but with an eerie twist. The band describes their music as “dark, dynamic, and elaborate electronic rock for those who like their music with a side of WTF.” Check out the single ‘Eminent One’ off their upcoming debut EP Voli below. Headphones listening is recommended.
To promote Voli, which is due to drop March 5th, Separate Spines is going on a Bay Area mini tour with Genuis (dates below). Learn more about Separate Spines here, and preorder Voli here.
