MS MR has just released their song “Wrong Victory,” teasing listeners with another glimpse of thier upcoming album. It is the second single off of their highly anticipated sophomore album, How Does It Feel, due to drop July 17 via Columbia Records. The song blends beautifully poignant lyrics [ie.”When your skin doesn’t feel like home”] highlighted by singer Lizzy Plapinger’s raw vocals, with subtly electronic instrumentation to create a lovely atmospheric track.
Check it out below.
“Wrong Victory” follows the album’s lead single “Painted,” which is making its way up the radio charts. The official video for the song, directed by Tabitha Denholm, who has worked with artists like Florence and the Machine, Haim, and Jessie J, was inspired by Stanley Kubrick films as well as the 1970s documentary The Secret Life of Plants. It tells a trippy tale of experiments with strange plants on human subjects. Take a look at it, below:
MS MR has recently announced their North American/European fall headline tour, kicking off September 24 and with various supporting acts including Circa Waves, Jack Garratt, VÉRITÉ, Crater, and Tigertown. Throughout the tour, MS MR will be donating a portion of every ticket sold to Third Wave Fund, a national fund that supports and strengthens youth-led gender justice activism.
