West Sacramento is under some major construction these days. Starting this week, they began demolition of the huge silos in the Pioneer Bluff on the corner of 15th street and S River road to make room for even more new development. These towers, built for cement over fifty years ago, have been standing vacant for quite awhile. On top of this, the newly developed Bridge District is well under construction. This is very exciting because it’s going to be an extension of downtown Sacramento. There will be new restaurants and businesses which will create new jobs. Also it will give us the opportunity to hopefully use these waterfront views for parks and trails instead of old factories. The Park Moderns that are being built are looking good and will be mostly done by the end of this year. Removing the silos will open up land for bigger and better opportunities.
