Sacramento has had its fair share of diamonds emerge from its music scene. Various artists’ call Sacramento home, and have left their foot prints throughout the vast musical landscape. From rap to alternative rock groups the Sacramento music scene has had waves of talent permeate in and out shifting its direction into a new class of diversity.Needless to say the locally grown Arden Park Roots are no stranger to the hybrid of rock/reggae. They have  staked their claim to the genre bringing  their own original flavor to the door steps of  local fans and  currently paving their path touring across the nation. Straight out of the Arden Area of Sacramento APR’s foundation was created by head man Tyler Campbell. With a passion for music Tyler had found his talents in guitar and even more so in the vocal arena. APR was born official in 2007 and after a few shifts in members the current line up is here to stay. Within eight months their first album “The Hard Way” was released and won Sacramento News and Review best album Award.

Not wasting any time APR took the D.I.Y. approach and engaged in all aspects of the business, so much so they began managing themselves in production and in promotions. As a result the band has met much trial and error in the process.  By taking on the roles of managing APR has a strong sense of  how to take on the business side of the industry. Taking it one step at a time, playing show after show, and maintaining a strong bond between each member’s personal and musical styles shines through in their writing and even more so though the music that is felt at the shows. This brotherhood of musical influences are like a brotherhood. Their extensions of their personalities  are both engaging and are infectious.

The Arden Park Roots boys’ foundations in the local arena run deep, not only as a band,  as a staple to Sacramento community which is growing. APR will continue to  bring their organic fresh sounds to new heights and to greater audiences beyond the genre. Since their inception Arden Park Roots  have won 6 awards as well as being inducted into the Sacramento’s music Hall of Fame. APR also has a  back to back win of the award in the best Rock/Reggae/folk band locally from the”Sammies”. After putting out their latest album in 2011 APR have been busy on tour playing events  from”Battle of the Bands” in Lake Tahoe to “South by Southwest”.  Their 2013 Spring Tour is like a wild-fire with shows lined up in festivals such as “Reggae in the Hills” and “California Roots” with other well know acts in their genre such as Slightly Stoopid and Rebelution Steel Pulse just to name a few. As the tour is in progress new shwag is now available such as new T-shirts and hoodies for both men and women. Also look forward to a new single that is set to be released this winter and will be a downloadable along with APR’s other albums on ITUNES and CDBABY.
