Ever feel nostalgia for the Saturday mornings of your childhood? Lately, my Saturdays seem to be full of either pain (self-induced hangovers) or appointments and chores. I long for the days when all I did before noon was stay in my pajamas in front of the TV, eating big bowls of sugar-coated cereal and watching my favorite cartoon characters triumph over evil and solve mysteries.

The good folks over at Critical Hit and the Sacramento Comedy Spot must feel the same way. They are inviting everyone to come on out and enjoy “Grown Up Satuday Morning Cartoons” on March 16th.

Bring your pajama-clad self down to the Sacramento Comedy Spot at 10:00 a.m. (yes you read that correctly –  A.M. – as in morning) to enjoy some of the funniest original comedic audio dubs over classic cartoons, live comedy sketches, and of course – lots of cereal! No pressure to dress up or buy that two-drink minimum, just $5 at the door.

Stay after the cartoon show and enjoy the fantastic “Dork Party” – a geek-centric stand-up show hosted by comic Robert Berry and featuring some of Sacramento’s best self-described “nerd comedians” including: Michael Cella, Nick Pettigrew, Stephen Ferris, Austin Abshire and more!

Both shows are a part of the Sacramento Comedy Spot’s 48-Hour Comedy Festival starting March 15th and running straight through the entire weekend.

Check out Saccomedyspot.com for more details – including the full 48 hour festival line-up.

Come on out for one or all of the acts and show some love for our local Sacramento comedians!
