Old Sacramento is having a fireworks show at 9 p.m. and at midnight. It is free and supposed to be rather spectacular.
Need to get drunk on a budget? The Mercantile should get you stumbling for less than 10 dollars. I am not sure if there is a place in town that has a heavier hand. Then stumble right around the corner to find men dancing in their underwear at Badlands or head over to Faces for a buffet at 8 and a balloon drop at midnight.
If you are looking for something a little less wild, DJ Larry will be rocking the house at The Fox and Goose. You know he is a good time, plus you can’t really go wrong with The Fox and Goose. Lot’s of beers and a whole lot of scotch equals a pretty great way to start off the new year.
Of course, for all you fancied up folks, there is always The Mix, The Park, or visit Kay Street to hit up Dive Bar, District 30 and Social. You can dress like a hooker, drink overpriced drinks and shake your booty with creeps of all kinds.
If you feel like getting down while drinking a tall can, The Townhouse and The Press Club is surly the place to be. Either place you will break a sweat, while dancing your ass off, again with creeps of all kinds.
Wherever you go and whatever you do, make sure to be safe. AAA is giving rides home to those in need from 6pm-6am. All you have to do is call 1-800-222-4357 and tell the operator, “I need a Tipsy Tow,” and they will send a tow truck to collect you and your vehicle. The light rail is running a little bit later tonight (12:45) and there is always a cab.
From all of us here at TUBE, we wish you a very happy and safe new year!
